Now I am a Sophmore!

So my Skye comes home Friday night at 8:30 and says, "pack your bags we are going on a vacation!" I said, "woo hoo!!!!" So we packed, left at 10pm, and drove to Key West, FL. What you say.....yes I say Key West, FL. It was great. We spent 32 hrs total driving and 16 hrs on Key West. IT WAS WONDERFUL. My Hubby is the best ever!

drumroll please One A two B's and one C......and only 4 days to rest from school!

Do you ever just feel feeling-less? I mean extreme BLAH? I just feel empty right now. And it's the worst kind........I feel empty and I have no reason to. I am sick of work. I think it's really scary how you can work day in day out at a place that means nothing. I had my 9 year anniversary for the company I work for April 1st. And yes, I worked my way up and more than tripled my pay in that time but I have nothing to show for that. I am having some issues with a relative. Maybe that's it. I don't know. I don't feel helpless or hopeless...... right now I just don't feel anything. Nah, I'll get out of sometime soon......

 NO MORE CHEMISTRY! Oh, such a wonderful statement! I am so happy. I just couldn't do it. So I have dropped it and will be taking it this summer. Geology is still my major...I am thinking about journalism. I think I would like to study the geology and then write about it.... don't know yet. But for now NO MORE CHEMISTRY.....WHEW!

The dog is sniffing me ......I hope he doesn't become addicted......we can't afford rehab again......

OK... I am not a math person. I never have been. To be quite honest it makes my ass tired. This semester I have Chemistry. I never took Chemistry in High school. It's been a bit difficult but I have been hanging in there. My first test is tomorrow morning at 8am. Ten minutes ago I am in the den...papers here and there, huge textbook, pencils, flash cards, lecture notes, beautiful roses from my husband, Skye , and determination. And then a call... a call from GOD (Actually, my friend, Carla with a message from GOD) ......UTC is canceling classes until 12 because of the possible bad weather tomorrow! What?! No, nothing that great happens to me! But yes....it's even on UTC.edu!!!!!! YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS! My Chemistry test will be Tuesday... 5 more days to study!

Thank God for people dropping classes! I did have a presentation on the Jan 30 it has been moved to March 8!!!!! It was my Scientific Writing class.

Pursuit of Happyness

Did I spell that right? Anyway, Skye and agreed to take care of my brothers kids Friday night and part of Saturday. They are 3 and 8. Brooke is the redhead who is silly, very smart, and very klutzy. And Kate is pretty much a pistol. Skye likes to call Kate his platinum blonde. So I finished work at 5pm ran to school to pick up Brooke, ran to pickup Kate from my brother's friends, ran to the bank, ran to the store to get dinner, and ran home to cook. Skye came home to Brooke, Kate, and our dog Oscar running down the hallway to greet him. Oscar is 65lbs and Kate is only 34lbs so she was knocked into the wall by Oscar but just giggled. Dinner was chicken nuggets in the shape of dinosaurs and french fries. After a movie and a Bible story Noah's Ark we all went to bed at 10:30pm. Up at 7am Brooke had a Basket ball game. Then we went to Chuckie Cheese were Skye decieded our children will no nothing of Chuckie Cheese. At 5 that evening we gave them to my parents for their shift. I am glad Skye and I have a 5 year plan.......

Well the grades are in my first semester back after 8 years: 2 A's /1 B / and 1 C!!!!! And now a great rest until January 8th! Next semester I have Chemistry, Physical Geology, Scientific Writing, and Western Humanities II............

Well, yes it finally happened! I have a major. It's been interesting figuring things out. I love it when people I work with ask about my major. I get looks of disbelief! Because of the whole visual merchandising....people think two things, art or marketing. I love to say, "art is my hubby's gig and marketing is for people who dress well, not dress mannequins well." Besides why would I really want to do anymore of this after 9 years!? Agh! Well, my new major is <DRUM ROLL PLEASE> Enviromental Science Geology! I know you are thinking "rocks?!" Uh No! Not just rocks......Geology is everywhere and just about everything! So there you have it my exciting major!
